BLACKWOOD, Jeffrey Neal, 53, of Trilby, Florida and formerly of Ballston Spa, New York, passed into the loving arms of God on Friday, March 1, 2013. His first job was working at the Ballston Journal, working as an apprentice. From there, he was employed at West Milton Nuclear Power Plant processing payroll until the position was transferred to Texas at which time he began working at Stewart's Corporation in the Accounts Payable Department. In 2008, he moved to Trilby, Florida where he most recently served as Treasurer of the housing community where he lived until his passing. Jeff had a quick wit, which often lead to a funny punch line or joke. He was well liked by his friends who describe him as someone who was always there to help anyone in need. He was also extremely meticulous making him an invaluable asset to his employers. Jeff enjoyed camping, sailing and satisfied his love of flying by acquiring his pilot's license, which he loved most of all. Jeff is preceded in death by his mother, Leona Blackwood and brother, Daryl. He is survived by his father, Lindley Blackwood (Gloria), of Bradenton Beach, FL; two brothers, Lynn Blackwood and Lawrence Blackwood (Dawn), of Ballston Spa, NY; four sisters, Crystal Bunnel (Michael), of Middle Grove, NY, Marcy Meaney (John) of Ballston Spa, NY, Linda Mullen (David), of Gansevoort, NY and Lori Kisielis (John), of Hagaman, NY; as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews. A graveside ceremony will be held in the Spring for family and friends.
