What a life well lived! Leonard Henriques lived a full life, experiencing mountain highs, valley lows, and the leveled plains of life. He leaves behind, a powerful legacy of doctors, lawyers, educators, entrepreneurs, and Godly offspring! Because he ran his race, strong till the end, the mantle he leaves behind is in the hands of the strong. Thanks Leonard! God sees you.

We are sad at the passing of Leonard (Lenny) Henriques. Condolences to his wife Muriel, sons David, Jason, and Micheal, his daughters-in-law, grandchildren and other members of his family. When Lenny married my cousin Muriel, he became a dear friend to George and me. He was a warm, kind, caring person. He enjoyed family and was happy getting together with family members. Lenny and Muriel visited us on every trip to Jamaica, and he always came bearing gifts. In my husband, George he found a kindred spirit . They would spend hours, talking, laughing and discussing current issues. We will miss those times together. Rest in peace Lenny, you lived your life well.
Those to truly live, never really die. They live on in our memories and in our hearts

Lenny we met over sixty years ago. We had a very good relationship, especially as brothers-in-law. We hung out together in Jamaica, New York, and Tampa.
You were one of a kind. You were precious! You loved to entertain, had a great sense of humor, did things your way, and you couldn’t be intimidated.
You loved to have family and friends at your home. I’ll miss those days spent playing dominoes or watching sports on TV, eating, drinking, and having serious arguments about the topic of the day.
You worked hard and had a long and enjoyable life.
Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.
One Love,
Norris

I remember visits to Parkchester, Hempstead, and Tampa. Uncle Lenny always offering food and something to drink as soon as you sat down. Uncle Lenny loved soul food and would always want to sit next to Mummy’s crock pot, whether it was full of trotters, tripe, or some other Jamaican dish. I remember coming home from school and seeing the New York Telephone truck parked in front of the house and knew he was inside and would give me a little something to buy ice cream or some other treat. I remember the lively discussions and his humor. Uncle Lenny was one of a kind!
Love,
Judi

Uncle Lenny,
I met you when I was 4 years old and you treated me with nothing but care and kindness.
We did not speak every week or every month, but we kept in touch.
You always had great advice and a smile for me.
You made me laugh and as I write, I can hear your laughter, and that little chuckle you had in the back of your throat.
I already miss you and I am saddened at just the thought that I will never hear your voice again.
You were as spectacular human being of strong will and purpose.
I love you.
REST IN PEACE
