Obituary of David Larry Bevin

David Larry Bevin, 83, of Land O'Lakes, Florida, passed away on November 10, 2023. He was born on July 3, 1940, in North Andover, Massachusetts, to Samuel and Florence (Kent) Bevin. David was preceded in death by his father, mother, brothers Ralph, Richard, and Arthur Bevin, sister Joyce Washington, and son Christopher Bevin.

David was a loving father to his two daughters, Jennifer Bevin Do and Christina Bevin Eisenberg. He adored his grandchildren, Kaylee Eisenberg, Luke Eisenberg, Brayden Do, and Jaime Turner. David was known as "Grampy" and always took an interest in their lives, asking about their daily activities. He was a loyal friend to many and loved socializing with others. No one was a stranger to him, and he would often engage in friendly debates, particularly about politics.

An animal lover, David enjoyed feeding the birds in his yard and birdwatching. He would often ride his scooter to visit and feed the neighborhood horse. In his earlier years, he had a passion for traveling, exploring new places, and returning to his New England roots. David had a sentimental side and would carefully read every card he purchased for others, ensuring it was just right. He cherished receiving cards, pictures, and drawings from his grandchildren, which adorned his walls.

David served in the Army and was proud of his military associations. After his military service, he pursued a career as a truck driver and bus driver. In his free time, he enjoyed watching the Tampa Bay Rays Baseball team, as well as observing airplanes and reading airplane magazines.

A memorial service will be held on November 16, 2023, at Loyless Funeral Home in Land O'Lakes, Florida. David will be laid to rest at Ridgewood Cemetery in North Andover, Massachusetts. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Hospice in his memory.
